Yashothara’s areas of interest include Data mining, Database management, Natural Language Processing, and Bio-Informatics. Her research focuses on identifying pre-processing techniques to improve the translation in the low resource languages (Tamil-Sinhala) due to the low performance in traditional statistical machine translation approach and fewer resources to hang in neural network method.
